On April 25, 1356, in Macerata, Italy, a priest was celebrating Mass in the chapel of St. Catherine's Church, owned by Benedictine nuns. During the breaking of the Eucharist before Holy Communion, the priest began to doubt the Real Presence of Jesus in the consecrated Host. At that moment, he was seized with great fear as he saw Blood beginning to flow from the Host, staining part of the corporal and the chalice on the altar. The relic is processed behind the Most Blessed Sacrament on the Feast of Corpus Christi. Pray that the Holy Spirit fills your heart with love of the Most Blessed Sacrament. May you come to the Holy Mass filled with awe of the love of Jesus has for each one of us in the Eucharist.
