During Mass on March 25, 1907, the Feast of the Annunciation, the pastor of the Church of Our Lady of the Angels in Silla, Spain, went to the tabernacle to take out the Hosts for the Communion of the faithful. He was greatly perturbed to find the little tabernacle door open and the precious silver ciborium with all the consecrated Hosts missing. The Hosts were found two days later in a small garden outside the city, hidden under a stone. The pastor formed a solemn procession to take Them back to the church. In 1934, seeing that the Hosts remained "in the same state in which they were found under the stone and that they had maintained their original condition unchanged," the Archbishop of Valencia began a process to declare their preservation miraculous, and sealed the reliquary containing the Hosts with wax. Today one can still adore the miraculous Hosts; they have remained intact for over 100 years. May His Presence reside in you always. May your love of Him grow deeper at each Mass. May you come to know the joy of adoring Him in Adoration every Friday.
