PLENARY INDULGENCE: The Enchiridion #13 states that, “An indulgence, applicable only to the Souls in Purgatory, is granted to the faithful, who devoutly visit a cemetery and pray, even if only mentally, for the departed. The indulgence is plenary each day from the 1st to the 8th of November; on other days of the year it is partial.” To obtain the indulgence, the faithful must also participate (within days of the visitation, or at the same time) in a Sacramental Confession, Communion and Pray for the Intentions of the Holy Father.
SPIRITUAL WORK OF MERCY: Come pray “The Way of the Cross for the Holy Souls in Purgatory” @ 3 PM on November 3, 10 and 17 (all Fridays). The Stations of the Cross are displayed in the cupola of the Via Dolorosa Mausoleum and prayer booklets are provided for use during the prayer gatherings.
ANNUAL MASS & 150th ANNIVERSARY: The Most Reverend John Stowe, OFM Conv. Bishop of Lexington, Sunday, November 5th @ 3 PM. The Mass is outdoors and under the protection of a large tent located at the Via Dolorosa Mausoleum (with seating). This Mass commemorates all of our loved ones who have died whether this past year, or longer ago, and they do not have to be buried at Calvary. This wonderful, peace-filled Liturgy conveniently falls during November 1- 8 to help meet the Plenary Indulgence dates. All are welcome
