Irene Moore Jackson, aged 77, residing in Nicholasville, KY, passed away on April 13, 2023, after a 2-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Irene, born on June 29, 1945, grew up in Morganfield, KY, and married her high school sweetheart, Donnie Moore, who preceded her in death in 2012. Irene is survived by her husband of 4 years, Jim Jackson, and her children, Ruth Ann (Jerel) Dennis, Angie (Mike) DiMeo, Matt (Celeste) Moore, Julie (Tab) Brinkman, and Kari (William) Sherrow, in addition to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Irene is best known for her expertise as a seamstress, her active involvement at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, her love for dancing, and her devotion to her family. Pallbearers are grandsons Eric Johns, Mason DiMeo, Jake Brinkman, Nick DiMeo, Wes Brinkman, Scott DiMeo, Tyler Jackson, Keith Brinkman, Chase Hammons, and Kyle Brinkman. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 17, from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Nicholasville, KY 40356, followed by Requiem Mass at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
